The beach-front patio at Harbour House, with pergola and the sea beyond

Harbour House

A fully furnished beach-front house in Derbyhaven, on the south coast of the Isle of Man, available as serviced accommodation for stays of typically one to six months.

It is intended as bridging accommodation for families moving to the island — somewhere settled to live while you look for a permanent home, or while you wait to move into one with your furniture still in transit. The house is let to a single household rather than by the room.

Availability

Nights are what count. A shaded square is a night already taken; a half square is a changeover day, when one stay ends in the morning and the next can begin that afternoon.

The house

Three bathrooms, one of them en-suite; classic farmhouse kitchen with a large dining table; smart TV in every room; and a beach-front patio with deck, wifi hotspot, BBQ, pergola, firepit and outside shower (hot and cold).

Where it is

Derbyhaven sits between Castletown and Ronaldsway. King William's College is within walking distance, which makes the house a practical base for families with children starting there, and the airport is a three-minute drive — useful if work still takes you off-island regularly while you settle in. Historic Castletown, with its shops and harbour, is the same three minutes in the other direction.

What's included

The house comes ready to live in, with no bills to set up and nothing to furnish:

Electricity, mains gas and heating oil are metered and billed separately on actual consumption, so you pay for what you use and nothing more.

One well-behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement, with access to the kitchen areas. The house is strictly non-smoking throughout.

Right next door and sharing outside amenities with The Studio, which is available for longer stays through the winter.
